MY MAINSTREET PARCELS PURCHASED

Parker has taken an important step towards developing the My Mainstreet Vision we created as a community in 2018. Town Council approved a Sales and Purchase Agreement with Confluence Companies for four of the My Mainstreet Parcels at the September 6, 2022 Town Council meeting. Following this meeting, P3’s Board approved the sale of the fifth My Mainstreet parcel to Confluence Companies.

This sale represents progress in this burgeoning public-private partnership to ensure that the My Mainstreet parcels are developed to improve Parker’s downtown and reflect our Town’s unique personality and vision for the future.


WHAT THE VISION FOR DOWNTOWN PARKER AND THE FIVE MAINSTREET PARCELS WILL DO FOR BUSINESS:

  1. INCREASE FOOT TRAFFIC
    New Developments and office space will lead to more people visiting and walking around downtown.

  2. MAKE DOWNTOWN A MULTI-USE DESTINATION
    Once people are downtown, multi-use developments will keep them downtown.

  3. RETAIN VISITORS
    A variety of businesses, events, and destinations will keep people downtown longer.

  4. ENHANCE THE AMENITIES WE ALREADY HAVE
    Walkability and pedestrian improvements provide easier access to local businesses.

  5. MEET COMMUNITY DESIRES AND VISION
    After surveying the community, we heard overwhelmingly that residents want a more robust downtown.

  6. REINFORCE DOWNTOWN AS THE COMMUNITY HUB
    Downtown is the heart of the community. New developments and improvements will ensure it remains the centralized gathering space.

  7. INCREASE AVAILABLE WORKFORCE
    More housing means more available workforce.
