DOWNTOWN PLACEMAKING CONTINUES

O’BRIEN PARK UPGRADES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

The O’Brien Park Streetscape Project is complete, and we think you’ll like the upgrades! New landscaping, irrigation, and berms were introduced to create visual interest and walkability. Attractive seat walls and steel panels blend into the landscaping so visitors may take in the beauty of the park. In addition, a new art pad features sculptures from the Art Encounters rotating art program.

The O’Brien Park enhancements are part of P3 Downtown Placemaking Improvements. The project was funded through the innovative use of Tax Increment Financing (TIF), representing an investment in Parker’s future. This funding mechanism reinvests tax dollars from the defined area where they were collected, exemplifying a sustainable approach to infrastructure improvements.

This project will continue to shape downtown and enrich the community for residents and visitors alike. Check it out and visit the nearby stores and restaurants while you’re there.
