CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (CIP)
P3 partners with different organizations including the Town of Parker and private developers to improve Parker through Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).
CIP occurs in the three different Urban Renewal Areas in Parker: Parker Road, Parker Central, and Cottonwood.
Current and Past CIP Projects
Pikes Peak Drive Pedestrian Improvements
The project included widening select sidewalks, adding pedestrian lighting, improving crosswalks, improving street drainage and undergrounding overhead power lines.
Mainstreet & Twenty Mile Intersection Improvements
To allow for improved traffic operations along Twenty Mile Road, this project added turn lanes at the intersection of Mainstreet.
O’Brien Park Southern Edge Improvements
This project installed pedestrian and landscape improvements along the southern edge of O'Brien Park adjacent to Mainstreet.
Town & Country Village Sidewalk & Landscape Improvements
This project will widened the sidewalks on the north side of Mainstreet in front of Town & Country Village. It also included much-needed landscape improvements.
Cottonwood Bridge
The Cottonwood Drive Widening Project, stretching from Cottonwood Way to Jordan Road was completed prior to the end of 2021. Additional project items were completed in the spring of 2022.
Mainstreet Safety Enhancements and Circulation
This project added pedestrian safety and circulation improvements on Victorian Drive and Mainstreet, as well as a new traffic signal at the Mainstreet/Victorian Drive (west) intersection.
